Quality and management systems
NA-ME’s published management-system certificates cover quality, environmental management, and occupational health and safety. Product selection also requires evidence relevant to the actual product and intended use.
Published management-system certificates
The authorised certificate set relates to management systems for composite product design, development and manufacture and associated steel and stainless-steel activities. The certificates are available below.
| Standard | Management system |
|---|---|
| ISO 9001:2015 | Quality management |
| ISO 14001:2015 | Environmental management |
| ISO 45001:2018 | Occupational health and safety management |
Management systems and product performance
An ISO management-system certificate does not state the load capacity of a grating, the load class of a cover, or a fire or slip result. Those questions require documentation applicable to the selected product, assembly and test method.
For a technical review, identify the exact product code, dimensions, resin, surface and installation requirement. Ask for the supporting information relevant to the contract. A result for a different thickness, resin or assembly should not be treated as interchangeable.
Prepare a focused document request
Include the project specification and state which evidence the reviewer needs: dimensions, material identification, load and deflection information, chemical suitability, or a particular fire or slip test. This helps distinguish a general information enquiry from a request tied to a specific approval process.
